Dearest LeGrand,

How is everything with you tonite? I do hope you are well and feeling fine. I feel much better. I just got through washing. It has rained all day and quit raining about fifteen minutes before work was out. The sun came out and so I washed. The stars are out bright and I keep my fingers crossed, hoping the clothes will dry before it rains again.

I surely do miss you a lot LeGrand. I am so thrilled and happy when I hear from you. Your letter I got Wednesday just made me hum with joy all afternoon.

After this week I am going to try and have my week end cleaning all done by Thurs. night of every week. Then when you come we can spend all the time together that we can. I will make things more pleasant for you. I surely enjoy having you here. Come whenever you can. If you aren't working next week, come about Thurs. or Fri. and stay until Sat. nite. You can stay as long as you wish though. I was just thinking that you should be in Tooele on Sun. to meet with the Stake Presidency. And it you don't come then it will be three weeks since I saw you. You always do what is best LeGrand. Don't ever let me stand in your way of something that is best for you. Remember I am always behind you 100% in all you do.

I got a letter from my mother today. I will copy a few lines of it.

My dear, I enjoyed last Sunday more than I have enjoyed a day for over five years.

LeGrand is a splendid fellow. He has something about him that brings out the best in others.

Sunday night Joyce, Sherwin and I went to meeting. It was one of the best meetings I have ever attended — a missionary meeting — Such beautiful music and singing and speaking.

Didn't Sherwin act up? I still have to laugh over what he said and did. But he didn't mean to show off. He liked LeGrand so much — just fell for him and you know how he worships you.

Say I entered the Spry Contest — had to tell in 25 words why I liked Spry best for baking and frying. I sent one in in your name at Logan. Don't suppose I'll win but sent three answers in.

LeGrand, I hope you are not bored with what I just put in. It just shows how much my folks like you. We are always welcome in Dayton.

I love you
Not only for what you are,
But for what I am
When I am with you.

I love you
Not only for what
You have made of yourself,
But for what you are making of me.

It's nearly eleven so I must sign off and go to bed.

Good nite and Good Luck.

Faithful forever,
Erline
