Thurs. Nite

My dearest LeGrand,

Here it is eleven o'clock Thurs. nite and I'm mighty sleepy so you'll have to excuse how this letter is put together.

Grandma is in bed. She has been making button holes for me. I'm so busy she has to help me. Last nite I made a house coat for my Sis for Xmas. Tonite I have pulled to pieces my red taffeta dress and washed and ironed it and tomorrow nite I will make a dress for my littlest Sis. I've also washed my hair, fixed it, shined my shoes and washed my stockings.

Thanks so much for the nice letter I got yesterday. It sure made me feel good when I got it.

When I am around you I am very happy. Everything seems so easy and worthwhile when I can see you.

I can't see to write any more. I'm going to bed and finish this in the morning.

Goodnight Sweetheart
Sweet dreams.

Friday noon

I came home and found your letter in the mail box. My but it peps me up when I hear from you.

It was sure cold here yesterday. The wind blew and no sunshine. Today is much better.

LeGrand, I hope to be worthy of being your partner sometime. I'll do my best to keep you well and happy. It doesn't matter if we don't have much money as long as we can get along and be happy enjoying the companionship of each other.

Time again for work.

Goodbye Sweetheart
May God Bless us.
Forever yours,
Erline
