When Walt and Erline Whipple died, they left behind a very large collection of biograpical sketches of their ancestors, aunts, uncles and cousins.
- Walt's biographies were chiefly collected when he was president of the Edson Whipple Family Organization (now defunct).
- Most of the biographies in Erline's collection were written by her mother, Mabel Law Atkinson.
